Nutty stuff....counter spikes here when I post at other sites...I suppose that's expected...just a bit creepy, well over 500 now.
I get one spammer on this blog....and the next time I login to Blogger....WHAM! there's a cool anti spammer tool available...more a anti-spam-bot tool I should say....very cool.
Now Blogger even offers a Word plugin to write and publish right from WORD....How Cool is that!
I'm only two short on my Summer movie list: Charlie and the Chocolate factory, and Howl's moving Castle. The kids saw CATCF, but sadly Howl's has stopped playing here altogether.
I'm also only two short of all existing animated "The Tick" episodes....I hope Toon Disney/Jetix plays them before the fall season schedule hits.....Spoon!
The kids start school next week...I'll be glad for the structure it adds to the schedule around here, things seem to go much smoother (and much more gets done) when the kids are in school.
Justin Nolan over at PDALive made a note about the "Next Generation" of fan fiction sites: Star Trek: Hidden Frontier . I've seen some of the other FF stuff, this is clearly a cut above story wise. And while the acting is nothing stellar, the ship effects and overlay with existing ST backgrounds is fantastic. It's also got to be a first that they have a (apparently) 300 lb female captain who very much wants to be Jean Luc Piccard.
Last (but not least): Our prayers go out to the friends and families of those who have lost their lives due to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Our prayers and hopes go out to those who's lives are being rearranged by this storm.
