Firefox, I'm finally sold.

I've tried IE replacements in the past, often to no avail. Avant Browser has been way to buggy for me, and while I liked FireFox, there seemed to be little performance increase (The slow scrolling via my mouse scroll wheel always irked me).

Well...after the last two IE hotfixes, IE has been driving me nuts. Not that it sucks, but things have changed...things that were not indicated. Things like: When you delete something from history, you no longer have to go to Tools/Internet Options/Delete Files to remove stuff you have deleted from the main history tab. Typically we have no call to do this, but the one time you don't have your ad-blocker on and you get a hijack, you need to blow that stuff out....ANYWAYS....When you now click Tools/Internet Options/Delete files, you wipe out your entire history and cookies! Not good for those who visit any kind of Forum/Discussion site. I decided on the recommendation of my bud to give Firefox another try. I've always liked the tabs, but with the latest revision (1.0.6) they seem to have fixed the scrolling flicker I had been experiencing, not to mention the built in ad blocker (wayy better than IE) and the Google search field (much less unintrusive than the IE version)....but probably the single most beneficial improvement I notice over previous FF and IE versions is...When you use Firefox while multitasking, it doesn't bog down your machine...AT ALL!. Right now, I'm writing this entry while Second Copy is backing up my hard drive to an external USB drive. There is absolutely ZERO lag in having 7 other tabs open and changing/browsing between them while the backup is going on. Just OPENING IE while Second Copy is running takes over 35 seconds to load open IE From scratch (even to Google). New Browser for ME.

I just have to get used to reaching for the Alt/Tab keys while browsing.
