Yesterday, Daughter #1 received and "Outstanding" (first place) in the Regional Science fair. This is the level between the school and the Chicago Citywide Science fair. She had won first place at her school with her Project: "HOW DO MAGNETS AFFECT DAPHNIA MAGNA?" She'll be going to the Citywide Fair in late March. She didn't realize at the time, but being a Zoology based project, she has a better chance at winning at the Citywide level because it's usually the smallest category.
If she wins at the Citywide level, she'll be going to U of I (Urbana) for the State competition.
We're very proud of her, and We've got our fingers crossed for the next month.
