Whew!
Local School Council elections again, two days of nonstop work, and only a few hours of sleep....but it paid off.
Kids got their report cards, both excellent, only one semester to go!
Baseball, baseball, baseball...Daughter #1's interest has not faded. She's hitting well for a beginner, and can throw O.K., but she's still pushing the ball instead of using her body weight to launch it (makes your arm get sore quick). The technical term is "throws like a girl".
She no longer shies away from a ball thrown at her, but has a lot of work to do catching to her right side and grounders. So, for her good report card, she chose a Franklin Field Trainer I used to have the same kind of thing....we called it the side of our garage and a rubber ball....but there's no room next to our garage to practice...and vinyl siding doesn't hold up too well to that kind of abuse ;) . Daughter #2's improved much in catching and throwing, but would rather play running bases...as a runner.
Daughter #2's First Communion is fast approaching. Pictures and rehearsal this week, and the big day the following weekend. We're getting ready for the big event and party. She's very calm about it thus far....though much like daughter #1, she can't wait to fully participate in mass. Daughter #1 was able to get the job of serving the mass (a double treat).
The Mrs. is feeling well, the good cardio Doc said what we kind of already knew....diet and exercise.
