Happy Anniversary...to US!
The Mrs. and I celebrated 20 years of married bliss this week. Very low key...a nice dinner at the Weber Grill and some time off, a couple of long walks (sans kids). Very relaxing...after 20 years there is still no one I'd rather spend time with than Rascpa :D ;). We were sans gifts this year...as we don't have anywhere to put a set of china (20 years is china).
Alright!....Wallace & Gromit!!!
We saw it last weekend, and while it's weird to see something we're used to being so endearing on the small screen on a big screen...it was a very enjoyable. Not the crack-you-up kind of comedy most (non-initiated) folks might expect, but a lot of clever understated humor any W & G fan has come to expect. That it took a #1 spot to me says volumes on the misjudgment of entertainment the studios usually try to cram down our throats. No review here....just go see it...and take someone with you....this is not an "alone" movie.
....many thanks to Matt & Steph for introducing us to Wallace & Gromit a few years back...
GooOOOOoooo White Sox!
I've been very low key about the White Sox this year, we've gone to a few games (they lost every time), and watched/listened to a few (which they lost every time), so I was beginning to think I was a curse if I participated in any way in observing a game. I popped in for the last inning of Game 1 against Boston, and then again for the last half of games 2 and 3. Since they won...my curse (and theirs) must be broken ;) . I missed (thankfully) game 1 with the Angels, but did watch several nail-biting innings of game 2 (sadly, I had to go to sleep for work). But the news was good....even if the call was questionable....I don't know, looks like a bounce to me.
Palm T|X It has the right price....and all the right features....except for a swap-able battery.

Thanks,
Well, that one play didn't seem to make any effect for other than that game....case in point were that the calls went favorable for both teams last night (fan interference and the ball in the wrong hand for a tag). Clearly had that fan not grabbed the ball it would have bounced off the wall and back into play...which means fan interference should have stood....but (even at the time), I was willing to let that go. We were backwinding the PVR on the first base tag as soon as it happened, and could tell before the umps reviewed that the ball was not in the glove.
The real grinder for me was at least 4 strikes that were called on Iguchi that were clearly out of the strike zone (not that he was gonna hit anything last night anyways...).
BTW, I love that strike zone camera...I wonder how long until we can have a holographic strike zone that can detect when the ball goes outside it ;).
GO WHITE SOX! ($125 a ticket for upper deck for the WS!!!!)
W&G is a good night out...for anyone...kids or no.
