We do usually stop at one or two local displays on the front end of the actual holiday. Grant park and Taste of Chicago is just a tad too crowded for our liking these days. It's much more relaxing to pull a wagon with some blankets, beers, and bug juice to smaller displays in one of the multitude of close-by suburbs. BTW, any friends or family reading should give us a call if they want to tag along, or if you'd like us to tag along with your fun.
July marks and end to science and day camp for the girls, which means I'll have to become much more entertaining during the day going forward. Please also feel free to drop me any ideas (that are reasonable).
Guitar camp week one was pretty positive (though one kids guitar literally fell apart during the lesson). All but daughter #1 were very enthused (it was review for her, she acted utterly bored). I'm curious to see how they've practiced this past week. Daughter #2's birthday was a splash this week (swimming party) It was great seeing everyone (kids and adults) on both of her party days (what a lucky kid ;) ).
Thank you everyone for coming.
Again...have a safe and happy 4th!
