e-mail attachment limit

So...I have a video from a family gathering I'd like to send to my family members that have broadband (it's 18 meg). Even though all of us have the same BB provider...I can't send it with them...10 meg attachment limit. Well...I gave everyone gmail accounts...that's what it's for right? Online storage? Right?

Wrong...Gmail Also has 10 meg limit. . . grrrr....

I do intend to make CD's for my family of this gathering (300 meg of 3.2mp pics and a few short .avi's), I wanted to get out the best stuff for my sibs and parents...but I find myself with no "quick" tool to do it with. I know I'll have to put it online somewhere if I want to get it to them anytime soon.

SooOOOoo I put it on my BB providers personal online storage and linked to it in an email. Should I have to do that at this point in time? For a measly 18 meg file?

I really, REALLY don't think so.

Internet2 is thisfar away, with gigabit connectivity. Even with a current computer with a 100mb connection the throughput capability is staggering compared to what we're getting now. So why can't ONE BB ISP offer bigger attachments or more throughput right now to folks who are ON THEIR SAME NETWORK? Some may say that it's the pop3 interoperability issue, but most of the BB providers have the same limits with Web Mail as well.

It boggles the mind.
